stoked summercamp 10

The camp is for freeskier and freestyle snowboarder or people who want to become one. You do not have to be experienced in park and halfpipe riding. But you should be able to ride blue and red slopes without any problem. We recommend that you train for the camp, because the Gravity Park, our trainingsfield, is located on the Theodulglacier at 3’400M. (10000 feet).  

Plan to arrive at camp between 2 PM and 5 PM on the first day of the camp (SUN, 12th July for Camp 1/SUN, 19th July for Camp 2). Check in at the Hotel located in Zermatt (you will receive detailed directions with your invoice soon). At the reception you will receive detailed information.  

If for any reason (emergency or other) you have to be contacted by your family. Please phone the office staff at +41-27-967 70 30. Our regular year-round office hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday. During the Summer Camps these hours are extended including Saturday and Sunday. In case of an emergency outside of the office hours please call as well +41-27-967 70 30 to reach us. Out of courtesy to our busy staff, please limit phone calls outside of office hours to EMERGENCY SITUATIONS ONLY.  

In the event of requiring medical attention, he/she will be taken to the Hospital Visp. The hospital is located approximately 50 minutes from camp. Stoked personnel will notify parents immediately.  

You participate at your own risk. You are responsible to have sufficient insurance coverage against any harm and/or injury you may suffer while attending or participating in our camps. There is no insurance coverage of any kind provided by us. We suggest that campers do wear a helmet and back protection during all park sessions. We are not to be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury you may suffer as a result of your attendance or participation in any session or event organized by us. Campers are grouped according to ability and interest. Coaches evaluate campers on their first morning to assess skill levels and set individual goals. Campers are taught skills in a progressive manner, keeping the camper challenged within their abilities. Before moving to more difficult skills, campers must first check with their coach.  

Located at Hofmattstrasse, Sports & Style offers a variety of clothing, sunglasses & goggles, shoes, videos, skateboards & equipment, snowboards & equipment and industry related merchandise. As a Stoked camper you get 10% discount on all products.  

Our testcenter offers different boards & bindings and skis. All campers are eligible and encouraged to test our sponsors' new product lines before the general public. This service is provided free of charge. As well find here the free TOKO ski- and boardtuning infrastructure.  

The weather in the mountain range and at higher elevations is nearly impossible to predict. Campers should plan for variable weather conditions. Campers should also come prepared for the possibility of rainydays. Typical on-hill clothing includes lightweight waterproof pants and jacket and one or more light-weight layers of breathable underclothing. Campers may choose to add or subtract layers of clothing as weather conditions change on hill. Hats, gloves, goggles, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also necessary. Shorts and t-shirts are usually adequate for base camp activities, but warm clothes such as comfortable pants and long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets may be required for cooler evening temperatures.
